Natal Chart Calculation Options

The standard data input menu for natal charts includes the following "advanced option" calculation choices:

True/Mean Node:
A node is a point where the orbital plane of a planet intersects the orbital plane of another planet. Charts are generally calcualated using the derived "mean" node; in recent decades, likely due to the advent of the computer, have increased many astrologers interest in using True Node calculations. Win*Star offers this calculation option with all charts.
Geocentric Latitude:
A correction applied to chart calculation that takes into effect the spheroid shape of the Earth. This calculation affects the ascendant position by a few minutes of arc; thought to be important in solar arc predictions.
Parallax Moon:
A correction for the difference in the position of the Moon as measured from two points on Earth from the center of the Earth (standard calculation) and from the actual altitide of a particular location on Earth.
Part of Fortune (day/night):
The best known of the "Arabian Parts;" calculated from the celestial longitudes of the Sun, Moon and the Ascendant. Regarded as extremely benefic, the placement of the Part-of-Fortune is often associated with inherited wealth and general good fortune.
