JigSaw™ 2 puts the pieces together when you're
working with any group of charts Jigsaw is a powerful
and fun-to-use Windows program that enables you to
find the connecting links in large or small groups of
horoscopes. It has three sections: Family Patterns is an
exciting new way of doing multi-chart synastry. It takes
any group of people or events that have something in
common, and displays their charts on the screen side by
side in linear rather than circular form.
This immediately lets you see what degrees are shared by the charts.
You can draw a line through any degree to see what all the
charts have on that degree, or highlight any planet or
midpoint to see where it falls in each of the charts. You
can also instantly change the harmonic of the charts to
see the various kinds of interaspects or harmonic patterns
within the group. Plus, you can view any chart in wheel
form. The program will also search for family patterns,
using whatever harmonics, planets, midpoints or degrees
you specify. It then quickly displays the patterns it finds in
easy-to-read circular diagrams. Rectification elaborates
on the Graphic Rectification system pioneered by
Bernadette Brady. You start by inputting the birthdate
with a range of possible birthtimes, and give the program
a dozen or more timed or untimed life events. The
program then displays graphs showing how often each
degree was hit by the transits for these events. Taking the
peaks in these graphs, the program tries them out as
possible Ascendants and MCs for the place of birth.
Finally, it lets you recheck the life history against these
possible charts, letting you judge transits to the possible
chart angles according to the type of event. An additional
dynamic chart view displays the proposed natal chart in
wheel form so you can watch the transiting planets move
around it as you run it forward in time. Now with
automated rectification and planet criteria search.
Research brings unprecedented ease to searching large
groups of charts for a wide variety of astrological factors.
These include all types of zodiac divi-sions (from
hemispheres and polarities down to degrees); all kinds of
house divi-sions; Gauquelin sectors; aspects and
harmonics; dignities; and coordinate sys-tems (including
latitude, RA, declination, altitude and azimuth). You can
also add up to 50 extra points (eclipses, fixed stars,
important degrees, etc.) to the standard chart points and
7 major asteroids. Whatever you specify, you get an
instantaneous graphic display of results. Bar or polar
graphs let you see in a flash whether the effect is worth
pursuing, and tables give exact figures. Plus, you can
click on any part of a graph or table for an instant
chi-square evaluation. Requirements: '486 or Pentium
based IBM-com-patible computer with at least 8M
RAM (16MB recommended); Windows 95, NT4 or
higher ; hard disk with at least 10MB free plus more for
expanding databases; VGA (or better) monitor; and a
mouse. Printing requires a Windows-compatible black or
color printer.
